Two people have been charged in connection with a violent assault in Deep River two weeks ago.
Police announced last Thursday that Hayden Fry, 26, and Sharon Druery, 69, both listed as residents of Iberville Street in Deep River, have been charged following an investigation into the assault.
Fry has been charged with attempted murder and breach of a previous probation order dated July 3, 2026, specifically a condition of that order to “keep the peace and be of good behaviour.”
Druery is charged with obstructing police by providing “false information to police engaged in the execution of his/her duty.”
Druery is also charged with being an accessory after the fact in that, “knowing that Haedyn Fry did commit the offence of attempt(ed) murder, (she) did receive, comfort or assist Haedyn Fry for the purpose of enabling him to escape.”
Fry appeared in bail court in Pembroke last Friday and was remanded in custody.
He will appear in bail court again this Friday afternoon.
Druery was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Tuesday, October 13.
