The Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium (RCJTC) announced late Monday afternoon that it had reached the agreement following further talks with seven local bus lines.

“The agreements will be finalized during the next week, but we can report that these are multi-year agreements that at minimum will run until the end of the 2028-29 school year,” the statement said.

Details of the agreement were not released.

The bus companies will provide a tentative start date for their buses to be back on the road on Friday, with that date to be confirmed by “early next week.”

The bus operators have previously said take a minimum of three weeks to get the buses back on the road.

“We want to express our collective thanks and appreciation for your patience and understanding during this difficult time”…
