The integrity commissioner for the townships of Head, Clara & Maria has dropped two complaints of conflict of interest.

In a letter to townships council, Colleen Hannigan of “Expertise for Municipalities” consultants (E4M) said their office received a complaint from a member of the public regarding the actions of two members of council near the end of the last term.

“Upon preliminary review, we have dismissed the allegations of conflict of interest for one (1) of the members,” Hannigan said.

“Regarding the other member, who is no longer on council, we have concluded that because the individual is no longer on council and with the agreement of the applicant, we will not conduct an inquiry into the matter.”

No details about the nature of the complaint or the names of the council members involved were included in Hannigan’s letter…
