The pandemic housing boom is well and truly over in Renfrew County.
The Renfrew County Real Estate Board reports that the number of homes sold through its Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system totalled 160 units in April 2023.
This was a decrease of 26.9 per cent from April 2022.
The RCREB said home sales in April were 20.3 per cent below the five-year average and 12 per cent below the 10-year average.
On a year-to-date basis, home sales totalled 369 units over the first four months of the year, down sharply by 40.7 per cent from the same period in 2022.
The average price of homes sold in April 2023 was $437,513, a decrease of 9.8 per cent from April 2022…
