Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd is inviting public comment on a draft “statement of work” that will guide the operations of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories for the next 10 years.
The 36-page document was published on the AECL website before Christmas.
Comments on the “key document” will be accepted until the deadline of January 31.
The statement of work is part of the process of selecting the next operators of CNL under the federal government’s “GoCo” (government owned, contractor operated) management model.
CNL has been managed since September 2015 by Canadian National Energy Alliance (CNEA), a consortium made up of three partner companies – SNC-Lavalin, Jacobs Engineering and Fluor Federal Services – under a contract that will expire in September 2025.
The next GoCo contract will run from 2025 to 2035…
