One of Deep River’s major roadways is in line for some major work this year.
Town council formally requested the County of Renfrew last week to proceed with the rehabilitation of Ridge Road this coming spring, from Hill Park to Deep River Road.
The town is asking for a preferred completion date of July 29, before the Summerfest long weekend.
Ridge Road is part of the county’s road system, meaning that upper-tier level of government is responsible for its maintenance.
Work on the road wasn’t originally intended to start this year, as the town focused on its downtown revitalization plan…
