Laurentian Hills’ books “just fine” after COVID

Laurentian Hills is emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic in good financial health, judging from a look at the municipality’s 2021 consolidated financial statements.

“We didn’t find anything unusual or of any concern,” Ryan McGauley, with the accounting firm Scott Rosien Black and Locke, said last week as he walked Laurentian Hills council through the audited statements.

“We couldn’t find any reason to say things are not just fine around here,” McGauley added later, in reference to his firm’s opinion of the municipality’s financial books….
