The COVID real estate boom in Renfrew County is officially over.
The Renfrew County Real Estate Board is reporting that home sales, new listings and overall inventory all ran below average during the month of January.
In its latest monthly report, the board noted that the number of homes sold through its Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system totalled 54 units in January 2023, declining 48.1% from January 2022.
Home sales were 32% below the five-year average and 23.6% below the 10-year average for the month.
The average price of homes sold in January 2023 was $421,111, down 14.2% from January 2022.
