Deep River police, firefighters and Renfrew County paramedics responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 17 and Ridge Road shortly after 4 pm Friday afternoon.
Deep River Police reported that the accident occurred when a vehicle turning east off Ridge Road failed to provide room for the second vehicle on Highway 17 to avoid a collision, and the driver was subsequently charged.
The drivers of both vehicles received attention for minor injuries but did not need to be transported to hospital.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Extrication was not required.
The highway remained open as firefighters directed traffic around the accident scene.
