Leading health professionals from across Eastern Ontario are calling on members of the public to do what they can to help limit the spread of Covid-19, including wearing a mask in indoor public spaces.
The message comes in a joint statement from all of the medical officers of health in the Champlain region, as well as chiefs of staff from all area hospitals, including Dr. Hanene Ben Amor of the Deep River and District Hospital and Dr. Robert Cushman of the Renfrew County & District Health Unit.
The joint statement says the level of Covid-19 is on the rise, with the wastewater viral signal at “record levels” in Ottawa.
“In addition, test per cent positivity across the region is high and increasing”….
