Anne Giardini is looking to take a step up the ladder of municipal politics in Laurentian Hills.
Giardini has represented Ward 2 on Laurentian Hills council since 2003.
She has been deputy mayor – chosen by her peers from among those elected to council – for the past three terms, since 2010.
It’s that experience that Giardini hopes to bring to bear as she has filed to run for the top job as mayor in the municipal elections this October.
Current Mayor Jed Reinwald has been at the head of the council table for the past two terms, but announced earlier this year that he would not run for re-election….
