Laurentian Hills firefighters responded quickly Sunday afternoon to calls of a brush fire in Rapides des Joachims.
Fire dispatch issued the call at 3:29 pm Sunday.
The Laurentian Hills fire department responded with more than a dozen volunteers and pumpers from both the Chalk River and Point Alexander fire halls.
The fire was quickly contained to an area of brush and trees between two homes on rue de la Colline in des Joachims. There was no damage to the homes or outlying structures.
Firefighters remained on scene beyond 5 pm to douse remaining hot spots.
