Deadline for Keys “interest” August 9

Deep River council has three months to decide if it’s interested in purchasing the former Keys School property.

That was made official last week with council in receipt of a letter from the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) announcing its intention to divest itself of the property.

Jennifer Barnes, the school board’s business superintendent, stated that her letter to the town serves as notice the RCDSB “proposes to sell, lease or otherwise dispose” of the property.
