It’s been another difficult year for everyone and women in particular!
Do you know of deserving women who go above and beyond in our communities? Of course – we all do!
Nominations are now open for the “2021 Woman of the Year Award” which is awarded to an outstanding individual who is a resident of Deep River, Laurentian Hills or Head, Clara and Maria.
The award winner will be unveiled at the Annual International Woman’s Day event which again this year will be held online and will be broadcast on at 7 pm Tuesday, March 8 via Zoom with the option of dinner available from Maven Catering and dessert from Sweet Sucré.
Last year’s event was a great success with well over 100 people logging on for the presentations.
Nominations must be submitted to womensdaydeepriver@gmail.com by midnight on Saturday, March 5.
The award is based on the nominee’s achievements and contributions throughout 2021.
Past volunteer information may be included, but the nomination should focus on the current award year.
The criteria is available by emailing womensdaydeepriver@gmail.com.
Please feel free to nominate as many outstanding women as you feel deserve recognition.
