Deep River’s public school trustee is urging town council to buy the former Keys School to turn it into a new community centre.
Jodie Primeau was acclaimed as the local trustee to the Renfrew County District School Board last fall, following the retirement of former trustee Marjorie Adam.
Primeau will appear before Deep River council at its regular meeting tonight to make a deputation regarding the former school building.
In her deputation request, Primeau says the school board is putting Keys up for sale “at a time where the town of Deep River is growing and revitalizing community spaces and recreation”…
