It was a busy weekend for Santa Claus in the local area last weekend as the jolly old elf made appearances at a number of events, including parades in both Deep River and Chalk River and the annual kids Christmas dance at the Chalk River and Area Lions Hall Sunday afternoon.
Deep River also hosted a number of events at town hall throughout the day Saturday, including workshops, a Christmas vendors market and tree lighting.
