Average Deep River home tops $300K

The average price to buy a home in Deep River rose by more than $80,000 or 36 per cent in 2021.

But the town remains one of the most affordable communities in Renfrew County, behind only Pembroke and Chalk River.

According to real estate figures presented to the county’s property and development committee this week, the average price to buy a home in Deep River was $311,282 in 2021.

That’s up more than a third from $228,750 in 2020.

The average price of a home in Chalk River was $293,022 last year, up more than 44 per cent from $202,508 the year before.

Pembroke had the lowest home prices in the county last year, at an average of $288,456.

Across the county, the average sale price in 2021 topped $400,000, coming in at $406,103…
