Local residents may hear some distinctive but distant booming next week.
Garrison Petawawa is advising the public to expect an “increase in noise levels” from the base training grounds next Tuesday to Friday, February 21 to 24, as the 2nd Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery conducts Exercise WINTER GUNNER.
“This exercise is crucial in ensuring that our members receive the necessary training to maintain their high level of readiness for future deployments and training,” the garrison said.
“We regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the public’s understanding during this period.”
