The Deep River Valley United U16 girls competitive soccer team had a great start into their soccer season last weekend at the Icebreaker tournament in Ottawa.
The team, with players from Deep River, Chalk River, Petawawa, Pembroke, and Beachburg, competed with 11 other teams from Ottawa, Toronto area, and Quebec.
With a total of 5 wins and 3 losses Valley United finished fifth overall, only losing to the tournament champion Ottawa TFC (in a nerve-wrecking penalty shootout) and Bronze medal winner Glengarry.
Come out, support your Valley United girls and see some exciting soccer at Grouse Park!
The next home games will be June 2 (11 am) vs St. Anthony and June 15 (11 am) vs Seaway Valley from Cornwall.
