Rush hour traffic leading into Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) was a little slower than normal Monday morning, as trade unions held an information picket on Plant Road.
The unions, representing close to 300 workers at CNL, are represented by the Atomic Energy Allied Council (AEAC).
AEAC president Ivan Adams was among the union members manning the information picket, which started at 6 am on Monday and was scheduled to run for three hours.
Adams said the union has been working without a contract since March 31, 2018, and collective bargaining has so far failed to secure a new collective agreement for its members.
“Everything’s stalled right now,” Adams said.
“The people who make the decisions won’t come to the table.”
