Mackenzie’s Tamarack XXII class is winding down their busy and eventful semester.
With winter camping months behind them, the class finished up their second outing on the Eastern Pines Backpacking loop in Algonquin Park (May 13-16). Although under wet and cold conditions, the class had a beauty trip.
They have returned to class at MCS to tie up some loose ends such as a trip to Pikwakangan, a field trip to CNL and finishing this year’s edition of the Tamarack magazine (Indigenous History and Culture in the Ottawa Valley).
Tamarack XXII students continue to prepare for their final journey – a mid-June canoe trip from Kawayaymog Lake to Wendigo Lake – and wrap up a memorable semester.
