The Deep River Fire Department, as well as police, responded quickly to the report of a snowmobile on fire early Saturday afternoon.
The snowmobile was about 500 feet in on the trail off Highway 17 near Wylie Road at around 1:30 pm Saturday.
Although there were no injuries the snowmobile appeared to be completely destroyed.
