Police are investigating after a Pembroke area business was held up at knifepoint Sunday night.
Police report that n the evening of February 9, 2020 at approximately 8 pm, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an armed robbery at the Bruham Food Mart on Bruham Avenue in Laurentian Valley Township.
A masked person entered the store and brandished an “edged weapon” to the clerk while demanding money.
The clerk was not injured and the person fled the store on foot with a quantity of cash.
Responding officers, along with the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Canine Unit, were unable to locate the male.
Police say the person of interest involved in this robbery is described as a follows:
- male, 178 cms (5’10”) – 185 cms (6’1″) tall
- wearing a grey coat, grey hoodie, black face mask and blue jeans
The OPP’s Forensic Identification Services (FIS) is assisting with the investigation.
