Highway 17 east of Deep River was closed briefly early Wednesday evening after a report of a two-vehicle accident involving a moose.
Laurentian Hills firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the accident just after 6 pm. Deep River Police and OPP also responded.
The accident took place at the corner near the old Halfway Gas Bar, about 5 km east of Deep River Road.
There are few details but there were no reports of serious injuries in the crash.
Traffic was stopped in both directions on Highway 17 for about 30 minutes after firefighters arrived and secured the highway. One lane of traffic re-opened to get vehicles moving again at approximately 6:45 pm.
