Firefighters respond to call at hospital

The Deep River fire department responded quickly early Saturday morning to the smell of smoke in the laboratory of the Deep River and District Hospital.

Firefighters were isolating the source of the smell, possibly from a fridge in the lab, and monitoring air quality.

The fire department remained on scene for about an hour and a half before returning to the fire hall.
