Deep River firefighters douse trailer blaze

Deep River firefighters are on the scene of a trailer fire off Highway 17 just after noon Friday.

Firefighters were called out at about 11:30 am. The first responders were on the scene quickly and began pouring water on the contained blaze.

Reports on scene suggest the trailer was filled with scrap metal and car parts, and that the fire began in an old gas tank.

The blaze was quickly brought under control as heavy black smoke first rose from the flames.

The NRT will provide more details as they become available.
