All Renfrew County staff may be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 1 unless they have a medical or human rights exemption.
County staff presented a draft vaccination policy to the county’s finance and administration committee last Thursday.
Committee members said they expect it to generate “significant debate” when it goes before all 17 county mayors and reeves at the next county council meeting October 27.
“I think this is a very divisive issue and I’m concerned about it and I’m really looking forward to hearing all 17 talking heads and where people are landing on it,” said Bonnechere Valley Mayor Jennifer Murphy, chair of the finance committee.
The vaccine policy says all county “employees, students and volunteers” will be required to provide proof of vaccination by December 1.
Individuals with only one dose will have until January 31, 2022 to get their second shot….
