The union representing more than 700 scientists and engineers at Chalk River says it is gearing up for the next round of contract talks with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories.
The Chalk River Professional Employees Group (CRPEG) is scheduled to meet with CNL next Thursday and Friday to open negotiations.
Future dates are expected to be scheduled in the new year.
In a bulletin posted online last week, CRPEG says its negotiations team has met several times to prepare for the next round of talks with CNL.
The group’s current contract will expire as of December 31 this year.
