Boys spread holiday cheer through Christmas Angel program

Courtney Williams’ two sons, Connor and Parker, lost their father this past fall, but remained determined to celebrate Christmas this year, and spread the Christmas cheer with others in the community.

Together, the two boys were able to purchase an amazing 77 gifts for the Angel Tree program, which distributes Christmas gifts to others less fortunate.

Both the Deep River Fire Department and Deep River Police Service showed up at their home last Friday to pick up the gifts for distribution. Connor and Parker are shown here with firefighter Rob McLaren and Constable Mark Brela.

“We knew we could do more to help others, and it helped us,” said their mother. “It brought some Christmas cheer!”

Connor and Parker were featured on the front page of this week’s North Renfrew Times, our last issue of 2020.

The next NRT will be published Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Until then, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!
